meet the founder

Travis Pickett is a Baton Rouge-based custom framer, exhibition manager and visual artist with over 13 years of experience in both private and commercial framing shops. Born and raised in New Orleans, Pickett is a graduate of Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Using his background in woodworking and painting, he brings a unique, artist-centric approach to the craft of preservation and presentation.

In 2024, Pickett founded ArtSoulLife Fine Art & Custom Framing. Every frame for this exhibit is fully handcrafted by Pickett from raw lumber. Using traditional joinery techniques and a range of finishing methods, each frame was thoughtfully designed and built to suit the specific needs of the artwork it houses.
